We Are Here To Help With Your Oral Motor Needs
Feeding therapy is a broad term for the treatment of a variety of difficulties “swallowing.” It ranges from problem feeders to children who are tube fed reliant and hope to be oral feeders in the future. Each child is unique and feeding therapy is tailored to fit his/her needs. Feeding therapy is designed to focus on expanding a child’s diet, tolerance of different food textures, tactile play, introducing new foods, and improving the oral motor needs for feeding. At MPT, we use a variety of methods to make food non-threatening, involving the child in food activities, having fun and using what motivates a child to succeed. All of our therapists are who provide Feeding Therapy are Speech-Language Pathologist and are trained in the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) approach.
