This group will specifically aim to help children feel comfortable pouring, shaking, peeling, rolling, mashing, cutting, measuring, and playing with food! We will encourage them to use their artistic abilities and play games with food while attempting to make a snack to share. Come join the fun and enjoy a snack with all your friends!
Time in the kitchen is a perfect way to teach children valuable lessons about life. Children learn basic math skills, team building skills, and build a strong foundation for healthy eating. Kids are always more likely to eat foods they prepare themselves, so “Kitchen Explorers” is a perfect opportunity to get those tiny hands working in the kitchen! In our group, we will help build basic cooking skills, encourage an adventures palate, explore their senses, boost their confidence, and have fun with food! Our low-pressure group will encourage children to have FUN with food and learn all there is to do in the kitchen.
Our group will include:
Gross Motor and Sensory Play with food/non-food items
Making, cooking, baking snacks
Mixing, shaking, spreading, peeling, rolling, cutting, measuring, and pouring foods
